Introduction
Julius is an infamous New World pirate who allied himself with Whitebeard. Julius is an infamous New World pirate who allied himself with Whitebeard.
Appearance
Julius is a short chubby man, with a pear-shaped, wrinkled face and a bushy mustache. He wears a small tricorne with the sides flopped over, which features a Jolly Roger on it, made up of a skull and two curved horns. He wears a coat tied closed with short ropes and a cannon on each shoulder, attached with straps wrapped over his back and torso. In the Digitally Colored Manga, his hat is colored blue and his coat is gray.

Personality
Little is known of Julius's personality. However, it can be assumed that he believes in some pirate code and believes in alliances, as he fought on Whitebeard's side in the Summit War of Marineford.
Abilities And Powers
Julius's abilities are unknown, though he is considered a fearsome pirate. He is powerful enough to gain an infamous reputation in the New World, and to make an alliance with Whitebeard.
Weapons
He carries a cannon on each shoulder, but has not been seen using them in battle.
History
Past
At some point, Julius became well-known in the New World, and allied himself with Whitebeard.
Summit War Saga
Marineford Arc
When Portgas D. Ace was to be executed at Marineford, Julius and his crew joined forces with the Whitebeard Pirates to save him. After Whitebeard's death, when Blackbeard stole the Gura Gura no Mi's powers and declared that he would destroy Marineford, Julius and Agsilly watched with worried expressions. At the end of the war, the Red Hair Pirates arrived and Sengoku allowed the surviving pirates to leave, presumably allowing Julius to escape.
Postwar Arc
Julius was presumably present at Whitebeard's and Ace's funeral on an undisclosed island somewhere in the New World.

Design Ambiguation
Two different characters fighting during the Summit War resemble Julius' concept art, to varying degrees. Due to their similarity, it is difficult to identify which is actually Julius himself, though the Vivre Card databook clarifies Julius to be the man with the mustache. Both Julius and his lookalike are chubby men with pear-shaped heads, tricorn hats, cannons protruding from their shoulders, and rope-bound coats. However, Julius also had a bushy mustache and a generally older appearance; his lookalike looks younger, with no mustache. Julius's cannons are also visibly strapped over his shoulders, while his lookalike's seem to be coming out of pockets on his coat directly, and Julius's jolly roger features a skull with two large horns, while his lookalike's is a generic skull and crossbones. Of these differences, only the mustache is visible on the concept art; everything else is too unclear to differentiate.
