Ripley is a giant from Elbaph and a biology teacher at the Walrus School. She is the mother of Colon and common-law wife of Scopper Gaban. She is part of the last generation of Elbaph warriors.
Appearance
Ripley is a giant woman of slender figure. Her most noticeable trait is a streamlined tattoo that runs down the whole left side of her body, from her left temple to her left foot. She has long, light hair arranged in braids at the front, with bangs partially covering the right side of her face. Ripley wears a dark tank top with a horned Jolly Roger design imprinted on it, a fur cape, a short skirt held up by leather belts and fuzzy boots wrapped in bands.

Personality
Ripley is a laid-back woman who does not care about personal manners and freely uses rude language, in spite of hypocritically reprimanding bad behavior among her students. Ripley is also a follower of the late king Harald's teachings, which prioritize peace and trading among countries instead of war and conquest. However, she does still value some of Elbaph's old traditions, as she has been shown to encourage her son's desire to become a warrior. Like many giants, Ripley shows interest in Nika.
Relationships
Colon
Colon is Ripley's son, so the two are very close. Due to her personal belief in Elbaph's warrior traditions, Ripley teaches her son to follow them, largely shaping Colon's own personality and beliefs.
Scopper Gaban
Scopper Gaban is Ripley's husband and the father of Colon. They first met when Gaban settled on Elbaph after the Roger Pirates were disbanded. They fell in love but never married due to Gaban aging faster than Ripley. Despite their close relationship, Ripley refers to Gaban as "Ya-san", like other giants do.
Straw Hat Pirates
Monkey D Luffy
Ripley first met Luffy when Luffy was having fun at the Walrus School, fooling and playing around with the children. He accidentally rested on her breasts, though Ripley didn't mind it and happily told Luffy about the Walrus School and the reforms Harald pushed for Elbaph. Ripley also asked Luffy if he could show her his "white form" as she had a particular interest in Nika.
Franky
Ripley first met Franky during the banquet at Western Village. When Franky showed interest in exploring the Adam Tree, Ripley volunteered to offer Franky a tour around the tree and tell him of the past of the tree and Giant history. As they further explored the tree, Ripley showed Franky a 3000 year old facility, having noticed Franky would be interested in scientific facilities due to him being a cyborg himself.
Powers And Abilities
As a giant, Ripley has immense physical strength. She is also a trained fighter, being part of Elbaph's last generation of warriors. In addition, Ripley seems to have a profound knowledge of the Adam Tree and its layout, as she was capable of giving a full-on tour of the tree and answering Franky's questions about what they found on the tree, including a mural about the Harley texts and a 3000 year-old facility on the tree.
History
Past
Twenty years ago, at some point after the disbandment of the Roger Pirates and Gol D. Roger's execution, Ripley met Scopper Gaban. Not long afterward, the two had a son named Colon, who Gaban considered his greatest treasure. Fourteen years ago, Ripley and Gaban were visited by Shanks, a fellow former member of the Roger Pirates. Ripley interrupted the pair while they were relaxing in a hot spring, offering them a tart that she had just baked. Ripley teasingly questioned Shanks for stories about Gaban's pirate days, but Shanks was quieted by Gaban before he could reveal much.
Final Saga
Elbaph Arc
Ripley was present at the Walrus School when the Straw Hat Pirates greeted Saul. When the school's children chased the Straw Hats around, the pirates ended up on top of Ripley, who explained that the way of the warrior was in decline in Elbaph due to Harald's belief in fair trade. She asked Luffy about his Nika transformation, but was confused when he simply replied it was his "appearance when free". When her son Colon arrived at the Walrus School and attacked Luffy, Ripley scolded him, but complimented his sword swing. After Colon mentioned that his father is human, Ripley explained their relationship to the Straw Hats.
Later, Ripley decided to give Franky a guided tour of Elbaph's Adam Tree, teasing him at his insistence on following Saul's orders not to take any. When Franky spotted the mural that was carved into the bark, Ripley explained that the carvings were cultural relics made during the Void Century, to Franky's shock. She further explained that there was no way to know the truth behind the carvings, and that they could either be a prophecy, or simply the drawings of children. As the tour continued around the tree, the pair arrived at an old branch that had been severed many years prior, due to a fire that had been started on it. Franky was shocked to hear something as simple as fire could be a threat to Elbaph, to which Ripley affirmed that lightning was as well.
Not long after, the pair arrived at an ancient facility, built directly into Elbaph's Adam Tree. While inspecting it, the pair came across Lilith and Jewelry Bonney, who had gotten lost. Ripley was relieved to see the two, as she had heard alarms going off around the island, signaling that danger was approaching. Sure enough, a storm MMA made its appearance behind them, causing the entire group to panic. Fortunately, Ripley was able to carry the group away, giving Franky the opportunity to shoot down the MMA.
While continuing to run, the group happened upon the Giant Warrior Pirates, who had crashed recently as a result of an MMA attack. Ripley was relieved to find Gaban fine, but disturbed by an island-wide announcement by Shepherd Sommers; the giants must join the World Government, or all of the children (including Colon) that they had taken hostage, would be killed. Ripley was outraged, and begged Gaban to stop them, to which he quickly ran off. Unable to simply sit around and wait, Ripley decided to head off with the rest of the giants in order to stop the God's Knights. Despite arriving in time to save their children, the rescue attempt was quickly botched. Imu, the secret ruler of the world, appeared on Elbaph via possion of Gunko, one of their subordinates. The resulting confusion around their strange abilities allowed them to convert a number of the Giant Warrior Pirates into Demons, which promptly set out to kill Jarul. Faced with either being killed or turned into a demon as well, Ripley quickly fled the scene alongside the other giants. On the way, she heard that Gaban had been taken down, but brushed it off as she declared her intention to save her son.
Trivia
Like many giants from Elbaph, Ripley appears to be named after a famous wrestler; in her case, Rhea Ripley.
