History

Alabasta Saga

Jangos Dance Paradise

After sailing away from Syrup Village, Jango traveled to Mirror Ball Island. The Marines were already canvassing the island for him, so Jango disguised himself and entered the island's dance competition. Jango ultimately wins the competition and befriends Fullbody, a Marine and fellow competitor. The Tulip Pirates attack the island, and although Fullbody almost singlehandedly defeats them, the pirates gain the upper hand when they take a woman hostage. After Jango returned and freed the hostage, he and Fullbody successfully defeated the pirates, saving the island. However, Fullbody subsequently arrested Jango for past crimes.

Anime And Manga Differences

In the first One Piece featurette, Jango's Dance Carnival, the Straw Hat Pirates also visit the island, and Jango ends up hypnotizing the entire island into dancing.

Trivia
