Introduction

Spiders Cafe is the name of two desert-based saloons, both operated by "Poison Spider" Zala—under the name of Paula—and tied to Baroque Works. The original location, based in the Arabasta Kingdom, served as an outpost for agents prior to Operation Utopia; its successor, known as the New Spiders Cafe (NEW(二ユー)スパイダーズカフェ, Niyū Supaidāzu Kafe?) and formed in a refurbished building on an unknown island after the syndicate's collapse, is a legitimate business currently staffed by many ex-members.

History

Arabasta Location

The Spiders Cafe was originally located in the Arabasta Kingdom and was operated by Miss Doublefinger alone under the alias of Paula. Baroque Works used this as meeting place for the Officer Agents before their attempt to take over Arabasta. During the meeting, Mr. 1 and Mr. 2 had a fight which resulted in holes in the wall and other damage to the building. After Baroque Work's defeat and arrest, the location was presumably abandoned.

Second Location

During the Baroque Works mini-arc, the former members of Baroque Works founded the New Spiders Cafe by restoring the building that was the former Cactus Saloon. The current known members there are Zala, Marianne, Babe, Drophy, Lassoo, Gem, and Mikita.

Trivia

  • The Spiders Cafe is based on the titular location of Percy Adlon's Bagdad Cafe.
