Chapter 1142

Robin and Chopper, who came with Saul, are surprised to see a serpent so large just as someone yells that the gym teacher, Wolf, has been badly hurt. They ask Wolf what happened to him, but he is more concerned about the children, while other one reveals that some have wandered off somewhere. Saul starts running after the children, but Wolf warns him not to touch them as he learns they are heading to the beach, but for some reason they are all sleepwalking, following one of Gunko’s arrows. The teachers decide to blow the horn and warn the entire country, but Saul fears that would be too much, only for Kiba to show him something in the forest, which are giant monsters, prompting the horn to be blared. Ange then tells Saul that the children are passing out one at a time, so Chopper decides to take a look at them.

In the Underworld, Loki tells the Straw Hats that just because they left one Seastone shackle attached to him, it does not mean he is without power. He threatens them to undo the last shackle or he will destroy Elbaph. To demonstrate his power, Loki hits the tree with Ragnir, bringing down a lightning bolt that starts a fire on the south side of the island. The giants partying are informed of this and immediately move to extinguish the fire. Back at the Walrus School, Ange tells Saul she recognizes the monsters they saw; earlier today, she gave the children an assignment to draw what they fear the most. Some children drew Loki because they fear he will destroy the world, while others drew Nika for the same reason. Others drew the wolf Fenrir, storms, ghosts, and Jormundgandr to name a few, and one of the children, Ylva, tells Ange she will have nightmares if she keeps thinking scary things. Ange apologizes but is impressed by the level of creativity and imagination that the children displayed with the assignment. In the present, Ange explains that the monsters are what the children drew and represents their fears, which they do not think is possible, yet here they stand witnessing a child’s worst nightmare. Above the tree, the God’s Knights observe the events, with the exception of Shamrock. Killingham, who was somehow responsible for creating the creatures, says the time limit for them existing is the amount of time it will take for the kids to reach the ship, and he asks if the others will find out the truth by then. Sommers says to know love is to wound someone else, and he asks Gunko what she fears the most, to which she responds she fears Nika the most.
