The Underworld of the Sea (海の｢暗黒街」, Umi no Ankokugai?) is a deep sea area where light does not penetrate, where normal creatures are not allowed to exist. The creatures here have either had to acquire better eyesight, or, in some cases, bio-luminescence. History
The Straw Hat Pirates were carried by the sea currents to this place when Luffy knocked out the kraken that was blocking the way. Franky stated that this area is approximately 7,000 meters below the surface.
