Introduction
Thormann is a member of the Giant Warrior Pirates. He serves as a minor ally during the Egghead Arc, and, after being converted into a demon, a minor antagonist during the Elbaph Arc.Thormann is a member of the Giant Warrior Pirates. Appearance
Like all giants, Thormann is a man of exceptional size, even towering over his crewmates thanks to his elongated neck. His attire seems to be inspired by hoplites, featuring a tunic, pteruges, and a helmet to match, as well as a large coat over his shoulders. He also has a small mustache. After being converted into a demon, his appearance remained overall similar, but with a few key differences. His canines became curved and pointed, similar to an Oni, while the horns on his helmet became more devilish. In addition, his coat seemingly converted into a large pair of wings.
Personality
From his showcase of concern for his crewmates, Thormann seems to value the brotherhood that he and his crewmates share. Despite this, he’s greatly cautious, as he knew better than to assume that the demonic Dorry and Brogy could be talked down after their conversion. At the same time, his failure to watch his own footing shows a bit of a careless demeanor. After being converted into a demon, he lost all traces of good that he formerly possessed, instead becoming drunk on his newfound power.
Abilities And Powers
As a giant, Thormann possesses superhuman strength and resistance. Following his accidental conversion into a demon by Imu, he was granted extraordinary strength and an immortal body, allowing him to regenerate from severe injuries. The transformation made him much larger than before, so that he towered over even his fellow giants.
Weapons
Thormann appeared to possess a sword, however his skill with it is unknown, as he has not been seen using it. After being converted into a demon, he gained a large blade, which he wielded from that point on.
History
Final Saga
Egghead Arc
During the Egghead Incident, the Giant Warrior Pirates arrived to assist and extract the Straw Hat Pirates from the island. During the process, Thormann disembarked his ship alongside his crewmates and fought with the marines. After a grueling battle, a save by Emet using Joy Boy’s Haki allowed both crews to leave without being pursued. In the ensuing party, Thormann cheered and celebrated alongside his captains for a job well done.
Elbaph Arc
After arriving back on Elbaph, the Giant Warrior Pirates held a large banquet in honor of the Straw Hats arrival. Unfortunately, the festivities eventually had to be cut short as Elbaph came under attack by the God’s Knights, with an army of “MMA” wreaking havoc across the island. Freshly prepared for battle, the Giant Warrior pirates took to the skies in their newly-converted Svarr. They continued fighting across the Elbaph’s forests, until they were eventually overwhelmed by MMA. Despite the setback, they decided to continue fighting on, now set on rescuing the 10 children that the God’s Knights had taken hostage. In the ensuing chaos, Dorry, Brogy, and few others were forcibly converted into Demons. Kashii attempted to plea with their captains, but found them unwilling to listen. Thormann was concerned by Kashii’s close proximity to their newly-evil crewmates, and attempted to warn him of such. Unfortunately, he himself was too close, and ended up being converted into a demon as a result.
