History

Final Saga

Elbaph Arc

Ahead of the Straw Hat Pirates arrival, Jaguar D. Saul pretended to collapse on the shore of the Warrior's Spring. To assist the ruse, Ange asked the giant children to stay away from the spring and then called out for someone to help Saul. Once the Straw Hats and Gerd arrived at the spring, Ange requested their assistance, and everyone watched Saul and Nico Robin's tearful reunion. Afterwards, Ange introduced herself and offered to show the Straw Hats around the Walrus School; however, Monkey D. Luffy, Usopp, and Roronoa Zoro ran off, leaving her behind. She later found them with Ripley, and explained who King Harald was to them. Later, while in class, the children called for Ange's attention, as they had apparently spotted a strange bird in the skies above. When Ange looked, she saw nothing. During the same period, the children began to draw pictures of what they feared most. Ange took the opportunity to compliment the children's creativity, unaware of what would become of it. Sure enough, not long after that, the school came under attack by Jörmungandr, forcing the teachers to intervene for their protection. Even after its defeat, however, problems continued to arise, as the children began to pass out. Upon looking outside, Ange was horrified to see the same creatures that the children feared most, and informed her peers of the origins of said monsters. Sometime afterward, Ange informed Kiba that the entirety of Elbaph was under attack by similar monsters. Kiba assumed that they were caused by someone's abilities and urged prompt action to locate the culprit. However, the school suddenly found itself under assault by Rimoshifu Killingham of the God's Knights. Killingham easily put down Ange using a sleep paralysis ability, before slamming Kiba into the ground, leaving him unconscious. Shortly afterward, Shepherd Sommers began broadcasting the God's Knights demands to Elbaph. During the opening of the broadcast, Ange was shocked by an offhand comment by Sommers revealing that he had already defeated Saul. Immediately following, Killingham asked Ange to read out the name of the children who they had taken hostage, to which she complied. However, Ange was unable to contain herself upon hearing that the God's Knights planned to force the giants into razing the Walrus School and Owl Library, else they would kill their children. Ange begged the God's Knights to stop, citing the fact that Elbaph's history and educational facility were more important than anything else on the island. Unfortunately, she was not taken seriously, and Sommers simply brushed off her rant. As they wished to put as much pressure as possible on Jarul to decide the fate of Elbaph and it's future, Gunko forced Ronja to speak on the announcement. Ronja gave a heartfelt speech on her belief that causing others trouble was the worst thing that one could do, and that if her life had to end to prevent the destruction of Elbaph's history, she would accept it. Ange couldn't help at cry at the selfless ideals one of her students held, and neither could Jarul. In order to save the lives of all the children, Jarul ordered Ange to raze the Walrus School and Owl Library, to which she hesitantly complied. After an evacuation, Ange tearfully set fire to the school, silently standing alongside Killingham as the pair watched it burn. Killingham commended her for a job well done, however, the library was still standing. As she had done well enough, Killingham decided to burn it himself, and shot the structure with a flaming arrow, prompting further tears from Ange.
