Introduction

Chapter 1112 is titled “Hard Aspects”.

Cover Page

Oni Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage, Vol. 3: “You can have that parting gift, Yamato, as long as you do something for me”.

Short Summary

As the remaining Pacifistas are disabled, the Marines move to deal with both Bonney and sink the Giant Warrior Pirates’ ship. When York and Mars destroy the broadcast room but it does not stop the broadcast, York figures out that the Transmission Den Den Mushi that Dr. Vegapunk is using is in Punk Records, as Stussy reveals to Kaku that she intends to stay behind. At the Thousand Sunny Edison explains their plan as he goes to enact it. Meanwhile, Luffy reverts back to normal and has Dorry and Brogy provide him some food as they continue to fight Ju Peter and Warcury. While Saturn reaches the Thousand Sunny, Nusjuro reaches the Giant Warrior Pirates’ ship and Mars reaches Punk Records.

Long Summary

The Marines report that all of the Pacifista attacking them have now been incapacitated, so they can continue their assault, hoping they can prevent Luffy and Bonney from escaping. Nusjuro is livid that Dr. Vegapunk would give a mere 12-year old control over a weapon that can destroy entire nations, calling his choice of defiance as foolish as it is insolent. Oimo and Kashii say they should get back to the ship now that the Five Elders have arrived, but the Marines decide to sink the giants’ ship so they cannot escape either, and start reorienting themselves to the northeast shore. With Bonney’s group, Franky defeats Red King while Bonney, having entrusted Kuma’s safety to one of the giants, uses her powers on Pomsky, turning him into a child before kicking him away (which Guillotine thought was just horrible).

On the Labophase, Mars has freed York and she takes him to the room where the video was being filmed, and Mars immediately fires a beam to destroy the room. The broadcast, however, does not stop, and York tells Mars if she had been the Stella, she would have hidden the Transmission Den Den Mushi somewhere tricky…

On the Labophase, Mars has freed York and she takes him to the room where the video was being filmed, and Mars immediately fires a beam to destroy the room. The broadcast, however, does not stop, and York tells Mars if she had been the Stella, she would have hidden the Transmission Den Den Mushi somewhere tricky to find. Mars suggests he destroy the entire lab, but York warns him not to because the second floor of Building B is for weapons development and the first floor holds the power station. In addition, the third floor of Building C contains a number of high pressure cylinders, so if Mars destroys any of those buildings, all of Punk Records would be destroyed. Mars demands York come up with the solution, and she agrees to help, as she does not want to jeopardize her relationship with the Elders anymore than it already is.

Mars then senses the “voice” of something small above within Punk Records itself, which York surmises is where the Den Den Mushi is hidden. She also describes the shape of it so Mars can find it more easily, and he heads for the entrance. After Mars flies away, Stussy breathes a sigh of relief that Mars did not notice them, a sentiment Kaku shares. Stussy deduces it was one of the Five Elders they saw, and Kaku admits he found Mars’s transformation repulsive. He then asks why she is still here, believing the Straw Hats and Dr.

Vegapunk have both chosen to abandon her, which he finds rather humorous regarding her betrayal of CP0 earlier. Stussy, however, reveals she stayed of her own volition in order to carry out the final mission. Nami asks Edison if they are seriously going to leave Stussy behind, and he says they have no choice because the Frontier Dome needs to go down the instant the Thousand Sunny attempts to flee, so Stussy chose to stay behind and deactivate it from the Command Tower. As such, the only thing they can do for her now is escape alive, which Nami accepts. Robin asks how they can cover the distance needed to avoid crashing without the Vegaforce-01 carrying them, and Edison admits he is confused too.

Usopp yells that he finished loading up the Coup de Burst and they can take off once Zoro and Jinbe arrive, and if they do not make it, they will have to improvise and use everyone’s powers to ensure a successful escape, prompting Edison to call the crew rowdy. Edison then tells everyone he has always loved the theory that miracles happen because guts triumphs over everything, and as such, he decides to test for himself if they can make the jump by flying through the Frontier Dome, much to Nami’s shock. Elsewhere, Ju Peter has fully reformed and starts sucking in everything in a massive vortex, which keeps the giants and Luffy from moving forward. Luffy rips off a building and shoves it into Ju Peter’s mouth to stop him, which works. Though they can start moving again, Luffy’s Gear 5 finally wears off and he reverts to an old man due to using up all of the energy he got from the food earlier. Hearing that, Brogy offers Luffy some of their emergency food called hákarl, and though it smelled bad, Luffy ate all of it and regained his vigor. Warcury then starts charging for them but Luffy uses Gomu Gomu no Red Roc to punch him in the head. Unfortunately, Warcury’s head ended up being tougher than Luffy thought, and he recoils in pain. At the back entrance of the Labophase, Saturn climbs up the island cloud and confronts Usopp, Nami, and Chopper, while Nusjuro reaches Bonney’s group, taking down one giant before confronting her, Franky, and Atlas. As for Mars, he finds the Den Den Mushi, with only one minute left until the broadcast begins. Just as he muses that Dr. Vegapunk’s luck finally ran out, his attention turned to something gurgling above him, and he looked up with a serious expression.
