Short Summary

As the world is shocked by Dr. Vegapunk’s statement regarding the Ancient Weapons, he reveals the existence of the Mother Flame, the energy he created to power the world, and the fact that a portion of it was stolen. He then explains how the stolen portion was used to destroy the Lulusia Kingdom with an Ancient Weapon, and theorizes that when the day comes, the mystery of the Void Century will be revealed, revealing that only the Roger Pirates learned the truth. As York realizes he knew about her involvement in the Mother Flame theft, she realizes the Den Den Mushi that is transmitting the feed is on the Iron Giant and reports it to the Five Elders.

Long Summary

The people of the world are shocked by Dr. Vegapunk’s statement that there are world-sinking weapons out in the world somewhere, and even more shocked by his claim that the war from centuries ago is still ongoing and in secret, despite everyone from that time period supposed to be dead by now. Dr. Vegapunk switches topics to apologize for something else he feels responsible for. Dr.

Vegapunk states that his goal was to create an energy source that could help humanity advance, and though it remains unfinished, he was proud to admit he created such a source in the Mother Flame, and that one day its power will be harnessed in a way for the entire world to benefit. However, he reveals a fragment was stolen, which is what he is taking responsibility for. As for Stussy, she is still conversing with Edison as they comment on Nusjuro’s attack on the Labophase. Suspecting one of the Five Elders is on their way now, Edison pleads with Stussy to escape. She asks, however, if it is okay she releases Kaku, as she does not want him to suffer the consequences of this event, though she promises she will…

She asks, however, if it is okay she releases Kaku, as she does not want him to suffer the consequences of this event, though she promises she will stop him from pursuing the Straw Hat Pirates, despite not suspecting his priorities would be leaning towards this.

Edison accepts Stussy’s wishes and apologizes for making her turn on Cipher Pol, as she had come to see them as friends. However, he tells her that her inner turmoil is proof that she is a human being, and he wishes her to find a way to keep living, which Stussy tearfully acknowledges. Dr. Vegapunk tells the world that two weeks after the fragment of the Mother Flame was stolen, there was a glow in the sky above Lulusia Kingdom, and later he got news that the entire nation disappeared with the reading of the worldwide earthquake following afterwards. This allowed him to conclude the Mother Flame was used to power an ancient weapon, and though he does not know who or why it was done, he still sees himself as an accessory to this act of genocide.

The world is shocked by the revelation that Lulusia was destroyed, and some tell Dr. Vegapunk it was not his fault, but he says this proves his theory that the world flood from centuries ago was man-made. He then reveals that Joy Boy wanted to pass these weapons down to the next generation, which he finds crazy because of their destructive power, and cites it as the reason why he cannot side with either of the combatants of the war. However, he declares the day all the answers will come clear is nearing, and that his words should be taken as a warning. Dr.

Vegapunk then tells the world that while the Void Century is a mystery to others, there are some who know what happened, and it is none other than the Roger Pirates. Elsewhere, York is completely confused as to how Dr. Vegapunk knew she stole the Mother Flame since she cut off her memory synchronization with him. In addition, she knew his surprise at her treachery was genuine because he is a terrible liar and actor, so she has no idea when he got these readings or learned that Lulusia was destroyed, ultimately concluding he had to have known all along, or else he would not be broadcasting this message. York then realizes where the Broadcast Den Den Mushi is and informs the Five Elders that it is being guarded by the Iron Giant in the Fabriophase. Dr. Vegapunk’s message continues as he asks why the Roger Pirates did nothing to pass down the knowledge of the past after learning it. As he says that, Rayleigh is seen drunk at Shakky’s bar as he calls himself and Dr. Vegapunk old men who should not be talking about stuff like this, as it takes the thrill away from the young people.

Trivia

  • Some was initially depicted on the cover of this chapter, waving at Yamato in the Flower Capital while holding Chuji in her right hand. This created a contradiction when she suddenly appeared again in Kuri on the cover of Chapter 1126 . In the Volume 110 release of this chapter, Some was altered into a different person and Chuji was removed.
  • S-Snake was initially drawn with black hair instead of her usual white hair. This was corrected in Volume 110.
