Hildon was a Wild Zombie that resembled a stitched-up vampire. He appeared to act as a messenger in-between the members of Thriller Bark's Mysterious Four, reporting to them noteworthy events that were happening throughout the island ship before it fell.
Appearance
Hildon had a bat-like body covered in bandages. He wore a dark purple cape that doubled as his wings and enabled him to fly. He had talons capable of suspending him upside down. He had sharp teeth with vampiric fangs, red claws, a long and stitched nose, pointed ears, and his eyes, if not sunken, seemed to have strange tattoos encircling them. Above his right eye was the number 21, and above his left was a stitch trailing from his eye to his hairline. When he first appeared, he carried a very large long-necked bottle of what appeared to be liquor on his back. He somewhat resembled a vampire.
Personality
For the most part, Hildon was amiable and polite when interacting with others casually. He seemed to be loyal to Gecko Moria, contacting him when the Straw Hats were counter-attacking the zombies. Hildon had a lisp, saying deshi instead of desu. This was omitted in the English translations.
Abilities And Powers
As a zombie, his only weakness was salt. He is also capable of flight, with his large bat wings.
History
Thriller Bark Arc
After the three Straw Hat Pirates escaped from the Cerberus, Hildon offered to take Nami, Chopper, and Usopp on a carriage ride to the mansion where Hogback lives. The pirates accepted, and along the way, Hildon poured Nami some wine and assured Chopper that Hogback was the famous doctor. When the pirates noticed the zombies in the forest, Hildon insisted that they were hallucinating. Once the carriage reached the graveyard, Hildon and the zombies pulling the carriage abandoned the pirates. Laughing at the pirates' plight, Hildon flew to the mansion.
Later in the mansion, Hildon offered to lead the three pirates to the bedrooms, but they refused to trust him due to his earlier betrayal. The Surprise Zombies then swarmed the pirates, accidentally forcing them into secret passage. After Monkey D. Luffy was captured, Gecko Moria sent Hildon to gather Perona, Absalom, and Hogback for the animating of Oars' corpse. Hildon also informed Absalom that Brook had returned. After Oars was reanimated, Hildon flew in to inform Hogback and Moria that Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, and Sanji had regained consciousness and the pirates were fighting back, with help from Brook. Hogback wanted the General Zombies sent out to stop the Straw Hats, but the General Zombies were busy attending Absalom's wedding ceremony. Hildon also mentions that Absalom wanted Hogback to perform his belly dance at the banquet; Hogback was initially interested but demanded Hildon stop the wedding, which the zombie could not do since he had no authority over Absalom. Perona decided to send her ghosts to stop the pirates. Hildon watched as the Straw Hats fought and defeated Oars. Moria then used his Shadow Asgard technique to increase his own power by absorbing all one thousand shadows in Thriller Bark, rendering Hildon a lifeless corpse.
