Yamon is the only member of the Roger Pirates included in Oda's sketches who cannot be easily identified in the manga, making it possible that Yamon has yet to appear. With Yamon appearing in the anime, this makes him the second canon character to have only appeared in the anime, the other being Minatomo. Yamon's appearance in their concept art is similar to Kalgara, having long, wild, light-colored hair, wielding a spear with an ornament at the base of the head, and wearing tribal attire.
