Introduction

Kuen Village is a village in the North Blue where Baby 5 was born.

Geography

Kuen Village is a small village in an arid grassland. The only vegetation in the village is dead trees and tall grasses that are slumped due to lack of water. It is nearby a mountain with denser vegetation.

Citizens

Aside from a number of unnamed villagers, the only known citizens are Baby 5 and her mother; however, the former was abandoned and forced to leave the village.

History

Kuen Village is an impoverished village which is seemingly suffering from a drought. Its citizens are malnourished and destitute. Their situation is so poor that Baby 5's mother was convinced by the other villagers to abandon her daughter in the nearby mountains so that they would not have to feed a child who would not be able to do any work for several more years.

Trivia

• The name "Kuen" may come from kuenai (食えない, cannot eat?), referring to their famine.
