Introduction
Layout And Locations
It appears to be floating on top of a large bubble and it is notable for the study of weather conditions as well as tools that can create various conditions, such as the Wind Knot. The island is constantly drifting with the wind. It was last seen over the Sabaody Archipelago, causing rainfall above the fourth back-up platoon, ruining their gunpowder in order to assist Nami.
Citizens
The citizens of this country mainly seem to be tall, old men, with long beards who are dressed up as stereotypical wizards. The country seems to lack any law enforcement personnel, with the citizens themselves having to take actions in the event of a crime. However, they all seem to be quite weak and naïve, and are unsure of how to handle crime and violence, though they do have a prison for criminals. This is demonstrated when Nami attempted to steal their technology. They apparently make their living by temporarily landing on islands they pass by and offering to briefly alter their weather for the citizens, for example, bringing rain to a drought-ridden country.
Technology
Wind Knot
The Wind Knot is a tied rope created on Weatheria. Untying the rope's knots releases gusts of wind.
Weather Ball
The Weather Ball was the most important invention on Weatheria. It grows in a garden on Weatheria. After initially stealing some, Nami was taught how to use Weather Balls by Haredas and the residents of the island, and later incorporated them into her Sorcery Clima-Tact.
Other Technology
Weatheria makes frequent use of balloon/bubble based technologies, such as balloon ships and balloon umbrellas.
Trivia
- Weatheria is the first known artificial island in the series.
- According to the One Piece Film STRONG WORLD Eiichiro Oda Artbook, Weatheria was originally the setting of the early draft of One Piece Film: Strong World, being the home of a weapon that needed four powerful crystals to control the weather.
